Welcome to ABC Invercargill

Kia Ora and welcome to ABC Invercargill. Tucked away on a quiet street in Invercargill, we offer care for babies, toddlers and preschool children. Our centre philosophy makes note of our desire to always strive to be the best we can be and to always have children’s best interests at heart.

At ABC Invercargill we have an enthusiastic team of teachers who are eager in their planning and delivery of a fantastic programme that is underpinned by Te Whāriki, the New Zealand Early Childhood education curriculum that works to encouraging children to have fun while learning.

As a centre, we like to work in partnership with the family and whānau for an overall development of the children. We believe that when we can support the family, we can teach the child.

Our centre has an excellent community feel and we enjoy hosting events like celebrating Children’s Day, Maori Language Week and Matariki. We became very involved in the 2011 Rugby World Cup, with all our children participating in a rugby match held at Rugby Park. Our children and their family love their excursions / trips to the gymnasium and the Theatre, allowing them to learning about their community in a safe environment.

We hope you enjoy viewing our centre and find the information you need to make an informed decision about enrolling your child at ABC Invercargill. If not, be sure to give us a call or visit our lovely centre and we’ll be happy to show you around and answer your questions.
