At ABC Monokia all our teachers contribute their individual interests and passion, so children are exposed to great learning opportunities from many different areas.
We have a large indoor playground and sandpit, along with large quiet areas. These allow our teachers to spread out and offer the children a lot of choice throughout the day. We also have separate rooms for the children to allow for age-appropriate activities. All our teachers are qualified and are focused on providing an environment that is inviting, stimulating and full of learning opportunities for the children.
We also pride ourselves on ensuring that whānau and families feel a sense of belonging within the centre, through weekly newsletters, and daily updates with the whānau. Also, children’s Special Achievement Journals are always available and children’s work is displayed on the walls.
We highly recommend that families who are looking at enrolling stay and play with your children here at the centre before you decide to start. The reason for this is so the whānau can get to know the teachers, how we work, and how the centre runs. This is two-fold for us as we can ask questions about the whānau, and understand more about the child so we can ensure this underpins all learning. What’s more, before your child starts at the centre, our teachers will have already formed a relationship with your child and whānau.
