Choosing an Early Childhood centre is one of the most important things you will do for your child and for many it is a daunting process. At ABC Napier Central, we understand this. We have policies and procedures in place that are designed to make our centre a fun but safe place for all children and their families.
Our teachers are here to support and inspire young minds. We strive to offer your child the very best nurturing and learning environment we can. We have an open door policy as we want you and your family to feel welcome. We like to work in partnership with families and encourage you to be involved in your child’s education. We frequently communicate with you about your child’s time with us through their Special Achievement Journals, newsletters and daily discussions.
ABC Napier Central has a passionate team of teachers who are dedicated to making this centre the very best, and to inspire the children in our care. We have a high quality teaching programme in place that incorporates Te Whāriki (Early Childhood Curriculum) and also ABC’s educational initiative, the Lifesmart Curriculum. It is designed to meet all our children’s individual needs and development. Every child is unique, we embrace diversity and facilitate experiences that not only follow children’s interests but are exciting too. This makes the centre a fun place to be where the teachers believe in quality care and education and the children feel free to explore, making it their home away from home.
Transitioning into a centre takes time for both parents and children. Before starting at ABC, we encourage you and your child to come in and spend some time with us. Getting to know the teachers, our routines and the exciting program we offer will allow you both to feel a sense of belonging within the centre. Feel free to ask as many questions as you like as it is our priority to make you feel comfortable and a part of our learning environment.
