Our centre is a converted villa and this works well for us as we use the different rooms for the structured activity times in our programme. The villa allows us to provide learning experiences in quieter areas where teachers can work with small groups of children.
Although children in Early Childhood Education (ECE) learn by selecting activities that they are interested in and are supported and extended by the teachers, there are times in our programme when we offer learning experiences that the child may not normally choose. By trying out a new experience they might find that they really enjoy it and will be keen to try it again.
We also offer a Jolly Phonics Reading Programme for our 4 year old children during our structured time.
We are a small centre, being licensed for 33 children aged 2 to 5 years.
We have a fantastic, sheltered and private playground at the rear of our centre with two large sandpits and a combination of natural shade from mature trees and shade sails.
