Mandy
Hi, my name is Mandy and I am privileged to be the Centre Manager of this lovely, small and friendly centre on the Kapiti Coast.
I was born and brought up in the UK, but have spent over 15 years living in New Zealand. I have lived on the Kapiti Coast for the past nine years and love the relaxed atmosphere and friendly community the Coast has to offer.
I am married with three grown up children. I love to spend time with my family. I also enjoy all things arty, and although I have very little talent in this area, having a go is very satisfying. Reading and walking are also hobbies I enjoy.
I discovered my passion for teaching when I was introduced to Early Childhood Education (ECE) during my children’s early years. I was actively involved with Plunket, and other early childcare services.  I completed a Diploma of Teaching ECE in 2007 at Victoria University to enable me to further my teaching career.
I am a people person who loves to work closely with parents. I am passionate about creating a safe, caring environment that gives children opportunities to learn and grow to their full potential. I value and embrace the uniqueness of all our children. I believe it is important to recognise where children are at and then move them forward through empowerment, fun activities, relationships and care.
