ABC Pro Active Learning Centres (PAL) is a special group of centre. Divided into three separate rooms in the one location, PAL provides age-specific rooms for your child nursery 0-2, preschool 2-3.5 and prep school 3.5-5. Our purpose-built centre is packed with resources, where learning is driven by children’s interests so that they can become confident, independent learners.
Across all three schools we have the primary care system where each child has a main caregiver to which they develop a special bond. Within the primary care system your child’s teacher will become an expert on your child and their routine, and will carry out all care duties for your child – such as nappy changing and feeding. We are always looking for ways in which to improve the care each child gets and primary care is only one of these ways.
All of our staff strives on supporting and scaffolding children’s learning, interest, strengths and abilities. Our role is to offer holistic learning opportunities that create and extend further possible pathways of learning for individual s and groups of children. This is achieved through a unique environment where there are large open spaces – indoor and outdoor which compliment our flexible daily routine, program and curriculum.
In the prep school we have a developed transition to school program which supports both children and parents with the next stage of their child’s education journey. We have developed a relationship with the local school and have access to the expertise of a primary trained staff member who gives us valuable input for the transition of our children into school.
