Our centre is unique in that children are placed in rooms with children of the same age. In rooms 1 and 2, we have infants from 0 – 2 years; toddlers 2 – 3 1/2 years, and preschool from 3 1/2 years to 5 years old.
Our centre is a modern and purpose built. We are well-resourced with committed, caring and experienced teachers who are either qualified or in training.
Our learning programmes are based on three broad developmental spans:
Infants – We know parents want their child to feel loved and secure. Through holding, singing and talking our teachers give infants the individualised care and attention required for building strong relationships. Babies learn through their senses and our teachers understand child development and know how to enhance children’s learning. Children’s physical needs are carefully monitored and responded to.
Toddlers – We understand that this age group needs lots of caring, attention and interaction. Each day we will provide an environment that allows children to learn through play and exploration. The teachers will provide a wide range of fun learning activities that allow the children to use their five senses and extend their physical motor skills. We will support the children to grow in confidence and social competency by providing routines and expectations that meet this age group’s level of development.
Preschool children – This age group loves to learn. We will provide fun activities to allow each child’s natural curiosity and theories about the world around them to be extended and explored. Children of this age are self motivated and often set their own learning goals. We will allow time for children to master their set tasks whilst providing support and opportunities to extend their learning. We are committed to supporting each child’s holistic development – their physical, emotional, social and intellectual well being is respected and nurtured at all times.
We not only want children to learn their ABC’s and 123′s but once they turn five and move on in their learning journey we hope they will have developed a strong sense of self esteem, a love of learning, and a willingness to work cooperatively with their peers that will carry them through the rest of their lives.
